The next step is to carry out administrative inquiries in the country of origin, Sri Lanka, in order to identify the person being sought on the basis of the original birth certificate. We also offer individual advice and information on kinship verification, its organization and dispatch. At the same time, we accompany the psychosocial preparation for possible search results. Our team on site ensures that contact is carefully made with the person or family found, provides them with comprehensive information and, if necessary, carries out a relationship check.

Once a relationship has been confirmed, we carefully prepare the reunion. This includes preparing the adopted person for the culture and the trip to Sri Lanka as well as sensitizing and supporting the local family through our team. Accompaniment and translation during the meeting is provided by the team. Afterwards, we also support the follow-up of the families in Sri Lanka. The team speaks the local languages as well as English and German.
